Emotional Mutual Aid Office Hours

In the midst of the federal firings, political chaos, and withdrawal of resources from conservation, climate and other life-affirming programs, I am offering “emotional mutual aid” office hours.

These include pro bono 1:1 sessions, and may also include some group offerings and workshops.

You can receive up to two pro bono 45-minute sessions. Sessions are offered in the spirit of mutual aid: I have this to give, and when you feel resourced, please pay it forward by sharing your gifts.

Possible Benefits:

  • Supporting your emotional resilience and wellbeing

  • Metabolizing, processing and discharging big emotions, shock and grief

  • Stabilizing and harmonizing your nervous system

  • Deepening inner resources for skillful responsiveness

  • Feeling more resourced

  • Learning practices that can support ongoing emotional wellbeing and nervous system health

Here are the areas where
I can be most helpful:

I combine psychological, mindfulness and trauma-/wellbeing-informed approaches, grounded in an understanding of the multiple intersecting planetary crises.

Emotional Resilience
Feeling your feelings without being flooded, and finding resilience without bypassing what you need.

Deep Listening

A space for grief, heartbreak, anger, fear, etc. to be deeply heard while reflecting back your innate wisdom, dignity and wholeness.

Parts Works
This is an effective, empowering, non-pathologizing form of healing and leadership development. I can support you in identifying, understanding and befriending your parts.

Nervous System Regulation

Grounded in trauma resilience and awareness practices, I can support settling and soothing your nervous system.

Awareness/Mindfulness

Emphasizing Presence as a healing catalyst, attuning with awake awareness.

Supportive Practices

At the end of our session I can suggest practices or resources that can continue to explore on your own.

Facilitated by Lisa Ferguson, Ph.D.

Lisa is trained in IFS (Internal Family Systems) and multiple other modalities that inform her unique integration of Parts Work for Planetary Crises. She’s worked as a coach offering a combination of parts work, somatic leadership, and engaged nonduality to leaders, changemakers, visionaries, and NGOs. Deeply listening to her clients’ experiences and years of facilitating parts work groups focused on our planetary crises and unwinding racism informs this approach.

Some of the unique integrations into her expression of parts work include training in Interpersonal Neurobiology, Effortless Mindfulness, Meditative Inquiry, Taoism, various somatic and trauma-informed practices, wellbeing-informed practices, and being mentored in the Direct Path.
